August, the 25th. A special day for me. Sylvain, a friend of mine, asked if I want to go camp with him at the Lac de Peyre near le Grand Bornand. I needed to release the pressure of my new job and escape from routine. I told him a while ago I want to enjoy more the beautiful landscapes we have here. I do mostly landscapes photography but don’t go out enough to enjoy it and it’s a shame.

30 minutes car ride, 1h30 minutes hiking and we were all by ourself with this tiny lake and an amazing view of the Mont Blanc. After setting up the tent, we started shooting some pictures, but the best moment was when we woke up before sunrise and got this beautiful light combined with the gorgeous scenery in front of us. We were surrounded by sheeps, there was this perfect reflections on the lake, I could have spent hours shooting but within 30 minutes the best light was gone. But not the memories of these special moments.

Shot with my Leica M6 on Fuji Superia 400 film. Processing and scanning made by Carmencita Film Lab.
